Sun Valley Middle School
The villagers on self help basis organized a voluntree committee and the main objective of the committee was provision of education to there children. So far the committee started to give education in open air by recruiting the teachers on self help basis. The committee also approached many other NGOs and in last Akhon Alika home is the pattern of the committee approach Mr. Greg Mortenson for a construction of an educational building. A team of experts visited the site for detailed survey. Akhon Alika the Chief Patron of village committee donated one kanal of land to CAI for school construction. In this school the children and youth folk of Kanday (the destroyed village by flood) and the children of Khanay village are facilitated from the above mentioned school. Sun valley committee then able to upgrade the school upto middle level. This school is famous for its best performance. The school is providing education for boys and girls up to middle level. The community wants to start secondary class also but due to non availability of fund and other resources the community is not able to start secondry classes. Lady teachers are employed from Khaplu and the students from Kanday, Khanay are studying in this school in highly disciplined manner. Sun valley middle school was a need of qualified and trained teachers, so the committee through advertisement for walk in interview selected two lady teachers along with some jobless and educated personals from Kanday and Khanay villages. Salaries are being paid to the teachers by Mr. Steve (from USA) and CAI up till now. The committee of Sun valley school are also helping those to provide medical aids if required to send ailing student to Skardu hospital.
Primary School Kabirabad
Heavy flood have been divided the village into three parts. Due to non-availabity of educational background the formal education of the children were suffered specially for girls. Therefore the community employed two teachers and started a school in already constructed non-formal school in Kabirabad. The committee are facing great financial hardship to run the school presently. The committees providing books, uniforms and stationery items to the students on free of cost.
